2018 March Madness Probabilities
If you don't know already, I participate in a March Madness algorithm competition. Practically half of my blog posts are about it if you want to learn more. But for now, I have pretty charts in a public Google Sheet document. My predictions are represented by the red lines in the M1 - M16 tabs. The distribution is from a 40% sample of the submissions in the competition. Basically, I root for whichever team I favor more than everybody else.
I also have a tab called PretendGambling to demonstrate to everyone who thinks I should gamble why they're wrong. It currently assumes I bet $100 on each game.
Also here is the leaderboard for the competition. My submissions are under the name data is baye for the Men's and data's baye for the Women's (I don't know, it just seemed right).
